About Me

I am a studio potter living and working in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley on the Oklahoma and Arkansas border. I make each piece myself starting with stoneware clay and ending with glazes that I have made in my studio.

I produce functional art pottery with an organic look and feel. Most of my pieces have a highly textured pattern from nature. These functional pieces are microwave, dishwasher, and food safe.

My goal is to combine and balance texture, color and design in each piece I make. My style has been highly influenced by my love of nature and the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th century and early 20th century.

I want people to pick up and handle my work. Because my work is functional, it is intended to be used, I think collectors can connect with it better by actually using it and enjoying it. It is not intended to be tucked away in a cabinet and only visually enjoyed.
